I am currently working on both Horus the King of Camden and his Director of Camden City Counterintelligence and Espionage. And the main song that I am listening to now is Nice-n-Smooth's misleading song, GOLD. The song comes off like stereotypical-crap, stereotypical Black excess and wasting of money, but!? Like all of the Black American Rap predating its corruption and exploitation by Whites and the WILLING COOPERATION of Blood Profiteering Blacks.
GOLD presents itself as shallow and harmless exploits in greed for GOLD. But anyone who can listen and follow the lyrics their is an undertone coming from Greg Nice and Smooth B where they are ACTUALLY HIGHLIGHTING the OBSESSION WITH GOLD AT THE TIME AND THE PROBLEMS IT BRINGS. But the delivery, IS INTENTIONALLY MADE HARMLESS SOUNDING, while actually BEING A WARNING TO ANY BLACK PERSON WHO LISTENS THAT THE LUST FOR GOLD IS UNHEALTHY AND MORE TROUBLE THAN IT IS WORTH!
The END of the song has an OMINOUS WARNING put in it by DJ Teddy Ted that ULTIMATELY REVEALS THAT THE SONG IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS TO BE... "Feels soh good." "YOU'D BETTER, THINK!"
It is this level of subtle-sophistication that ultimately made Black American Rap and Hip-Hop a target that HAD TO BE CORRUPTED. Because of its ability to influence Black Americans on both the overt and covert level that WE NEED TO BE MINDFUL OF WHAT WE ARE DOING. And why we are DOING IT....
