Welcome to September

Good Evening from Upper Darby!
   If there is one thing that I have learned over the course of my life is that doing things the Right Way, has actually gone out of "style". A honest days work for an honest days pay, has literally become cliche. Even when all of that rhymes I've been seeing more and more on the business side of the game, outright scandalous behavior. Practices and policies, where I'm not left to guess why the world has become what it is.
   Now?
   To me?
   That is something worth creating as a BASE, to set down some characters in and then begin the process of showing the reader how these characters contend with a world where "doing things the right way", is "the wrong way".
   Right now I am typing this and realizing that for normal human beings existing in such a world, things can get down right depressing in a hurry, but!? What happens when we introduce sci-fi/fantasy/drama into the mix?
   Then things get interesting, real quick! Because of course when people have the personal power to ARBITRARILY, change whatever is going on around them, then? That IMMEDIATELY changes the dynamics of governance on the local, state and national level. Because governing normal humans is one thing, but having to govern those who are superhuman or altered humans, is a totally different animal! 
   This is highlighted throughout my stories and adds an added dimension where I honestly don't believe this has been properly touched upon to its fullest extent. One of the free short stories I am working on goes into this in some detail and looks at this, but from a not-so-human perspective. But from a perspective of the bioengineered lifeforms having to deal with the fact that their existence is predicated more on being TOLERATED. 
   Instead of valued....
