Katrina-Kox is the 4th Wife of Byron Maxwell and is his Supreme Chief Escort-Attendant. She is a Zero-Generation IACF ARC-Mang born at the Ashmun Institute from its very first batch of bioengineered ARC-Mang. She eventually became AI's chief recruiter and traveled Imperial American territories recruiting IACF-graduates from their various high school academies to come an attend AI and graduate as junior officers of the IACF. Black rabbit ears and all, Katrina is a critical member of Byron's unit and has been a major cog in his development into the young man that he is on all fronts.
Right now I am fleshing out her background and backstory so that story continuity is in order and in check and set up so that I know who is affiliated with who and why, what took place to cause this AND HOW IT TOOK PLACE, plus, WHEN IT TOOK PLACE! If George Lucas and his expanded universe of Star Wars taught me anything.
If Fist of the North Star by Buronson, aka Yoshiyuki Okamura
All three of these great, iconic AND HISTORIC FRANCHISES have a number of things in common that motivates me to this day to NOT REPEAT THEIR MISTAKES. 1) Continuity The continuity of each one of these franchises is actually all over the fuckin place. Fist of the Northstar has a massive nuclear war and then we have no idea what countries are what and how long the nuclear winter lasted and where ALL OF THE CENTRAL CHARACTERS HID AT TO SURVIVE IT!
We're eventually shown that Toki became irradiated from saving Kenshiro and the people with them when the bomb shelter wouldn't close and either he or Kenshiro would have to close it FROM THE OUTSIDE and be exposed to nuclear fallout.
Beyond this, the only possibilities of knowing anything about who was doing what when, is to read the Manga's and piece it together from there. Other characters have emerged and claimed connection to the various central characters like Raoh in the video above. But they are SO CLEARLY SHOEHORNED IN that they're OBVIOUS. RET-CONNED CHARACTERS.
So for me!?
I have been doing painstaking work to KNOW who will introduce and who I won't. WHO THEY ARE AND WHERE THEY ARE AND WHY THEY ARE. And yes I typed, why they are, as in why they are THE WAY THAT THEY ARE. The recent Batman V Superman movie gives a prime example of HOW TO FAIL THAT TEST. As Alexander Luthor, played by Jesse Eisenberg, IS NOT LEX LUTHOR. But is HIS SON. Zach Snyder and the writers of that slop never flesh out what the fuck is Alex Luthor's problem and Jesse plays the character like he's a cheap Joker wanna-be. Making him an eyesore on the screen and making him come off like a spoiled, supposedly smart, asshole-brat who in REAL LIFE!? Playing around with GOVERNMENTAL FORCES, gets a fuckin BULLET IN HIS HEAD! But I noticed that Zach Snyder didn't wanna go THAT DARK! Where he gives SOME TEETH! To the United States Government where we all know IN REAL LIFE people in FOREIGN COUNTRIES GET RENDITIONED FOR FAR LESS THAT JESSE-BOY WAS TALKING IN THAT SHITTY MOVIE!
-_- Ahem. Back to the post.
2) Understanding the Significance of YOUR VILLAINS. Katrina-Kox is NOT a villain. Neither is Byron. And notice I have NOT really delved into WHO THE VILLAINS ARE in my writings. And that is ON PURPOSE. But in the three franchises above they UNDERESTIMATED THE CRITICAL POWER OF THEIR VILLAINS. And they've been paying for it every since. Optimus Prime without Megatron is Kenshiro without Raoh and Star Wars without Darth Vader.
Sometimes when you do TOO GOOD OF A JOB with your Villains. Their deaths or changes and removals from whatever you've made, creates TOO GREAT OF A VOID TO REFILL! So I'm mindful of the fact that I have to UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF A GOOD AND GREAT ADVERSARY for the heroes. Fist of the Northstar has never recovered from the death of Raoh. The Transformers never recovered from Megatron being changed into Galvatron and then made crazy. And Star Wars, ha! Darth Vader IS. STAR WARS. And that weak sauce over the Christmas Holiday last year was a JOKE! Made a lot of money though! But so did the Prequels and Bayformers.
So while I've been working on KK and FLESHING OUT HER HISTORY and then HER HISTORY WITH BYRON!? It includes a number of IMPORTANT villains who have already been defeated and dispatched by these two. Where it will be obvious to the reader that these were GOOD LACKEYS AND LEADERS, but they're Underboss-bitches. Not the main bitches and bastards to come. Some of the Underboss-Bitches now serve or are affiliated with Byron. But THEIR MISTRESSES perished during the conflict and as you well know PAGAN-Mangs have a number of flaws that can allow for a persistent and/or powerful person to corrupt and obtain certain ones AT CERTAIN LEVELS BY DOING CERTAIN THINGS!
So as you can read that is a lot of legalese type-talk that means that situations-n-circumstances vary, but the weak bitches can be brought over to your side if you KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. Otherwise all you're doing is setting yourself up to be murdered in your sleep by one of them. With all that typed, lemme get back to work....
